Merrie Beth Eubanks has enjoyed a career as a professional soloist, ensemble musician, orchestral player and harp instructor for over twenty years. She began her studies on the harp at the age of seven. She graduated with honors from the exclusive performing arts school, Interlochen Arts Academy and studied at the Cleveland Institute of Music. She has earned a Bachelor of Music degree, a Graduate Certificate in Music Education, and a Master of Education degree. Ms. Eubanks has received instruction from world-class performers, instructors, and recording artists such as Yolanda Kondonassis, Alice Chalifoux, Joan Holland, Marjorie Tyre and Susan Brady. She completed additional studies at the Brevard Music Center and Salzedo Harp School festivals. Ms. Eubanks has served as the principal harpist for the Albany Symphony Orchestra and Valdosta Symphony Orchestra and as second harpist for the Mobile Symphony Orchestra. Other ensemble performances include the Sinfonia Gulf Coast, Athens Symphony, Columbus Symphony, Macon Symphony, Erie Philharmonic, Youngstown Symphony, and Fort Wayne Philharmonic Orchestras, the Albany Chorale and the Atlanta Harp Ensemble. Ms. Eubanks is an active soloist, specializing in solo and chamber music recitals, lectures and demonstrations. She enjoys performing with various instrumentalists. She is a busy freelance harpist, playing for weddings, receptions, church services and dinner events. She currently resides in Lookout Mountain, Georgia with her husband and four children.
Weddings

Merrie Beth works closely with each of her brides to create personalized music, enhancing the beauty of the occasion. The harp can be played in a variety of indoor or outdoor settings. As a solo instrument the harp is perfect to supply music for every portion of the ceremony. Other instruments, such as violin, cello, string quartet, piano or flute can be added to create a duo, trio or ensemble. Merrie Beth offers a variety of genres from traditional and classical to contemporary and popular music. Harp Lessons
Merrie Beth has taught private and group harp lessons for over two decades. As a part of her conservatory training, she completed coursework in pedagogy, music theory and Eurhythmics. She served as a teaching assistant at the Young Artist Harp Seminar and was also an adjunct professor at Darton State College as a harp instructor. She currently teaches as an adjunct professor of music at Southern Adventist University. Merrie Beth’s private studio consists of students of every age with ability levels ranging from beginner to advanced. Merrie Beth especially enjoys sharing the love and music of the harp to others through her private teaching.
Church Services
One of Merrie Beth’s favorite things to play is religious music. She particularly loves sharing adaptations of hymns on the harp. She is available for Sunday morning worship services where she plays the prelude, special and postlude as well as accompanying hymns and choir specials. She also offers concerts where she plays sacred and/or secular music and gives interesting information about the harp. Churches often request her to play for Easter and Christmas services as a soloist, with a small orchestra or accompanying the choir.
